Our Story
Most businesses start with a business plan. Ours started with a dog who needed to run.
Luna is a German Shepherd with the energy of ten dogs. She’s also Shane’s service dog — his working partner, his shadow, his whole world. And like every high-drive working dog, she needed serious exercise every single day. Not a stroll around the block. Real, full-tilt, tongue-flying-out running.
The problem? Life kept getting in the way. Florida heat made midday runs risky. Busy schedules, rain, traffic, chaotic dog parks — there was always a reason Luna couldn’t get the workout she needed. And an under-exercised working dog isn’t just restless. She’s destructive, anxious, and miserable.
Then Shane discovered the Firepaw slatmill — a professional dog-powered treadmill with no motor, where the dog controls the speed and can stop anytime. Luna took to it in minutes. The transformation was unreal: a focused, exhausted, deeply happy dog — in any weather, in 30 minutes, right at home.
That’s when the lightbulb went on: what if every high-energy dog in Orlando had access to this?
When traditional jobs wouldn’t make room for both of them, Shane stopped asking for permission and built something of his own — a business where he and Luna could work together. He put a climate-controlled gym on wheels, loaded it with professional Firepaw slatmills, and started driving it to people’s driveways.
That’s Ready Set Zoomies: Orlando’s first mobile dog gym. We bring the workout to you — because your dog shouldn’t need perfect weather, a free afternoon, and a fenced yard to be happy.

Meet Luna 🐾
Luna is a German Shepherd, a trained service dog, and the entire reason this company exists. She’s our official treadmill tester (every workout is Luna-approved), our mascot, and the undisputed star of the show.
She’s living proof of what 30 minutes on a Firepaw slatmill can do: crack-of-dawn chaos to post-run nap mode, every single time. When your dog tries the treadmill for the first time, Luna’s usually nearby — because nothing convinces a nervous pup like watching another dog have the time of their life.

Meet Shane
Shane started Ready Set Zoomies with one trailer, two treadmills, and a simple belief: every dog deserves a real workout, and every owner deserves a tired, happy pup at the end of the day.
He runs every session personally — your dog is never handed off to a stranger. He’s the one who’ll learn your dog’s quirks, celebrate their first full sprint, and cheer louder than anyone when they hit a new milestone.
This isn’t a franchise or a side hustle. It’s Shane and Luna, showing up at your driveway, doing what they love.
